Saramsa Garden was established in 1922 by the Sikkim Forest Department initially to grow fruits for the erstwhile Namgyal Royal family and also for the British political officers of those days. Admission fee is Rs.30/- per person. While several toilets are available at various blocks of the garden,    Most of the plants that you see here today were introduced during 1975 to 1980. In 2008 the first International Flori Show was held in Saramsa Gadren which was hosted by the State Government of Sikkim. A modern Convention Center has been built in the garden which can accommodate 500 persons. So private meetings and functions can be held here.
