Madh Island is a group of several fishing villages and farmlands in northern Mumbai bounded by Arabian sea to the west and Malad creek to the east. ‘Erangal’ is a picturesque village on Madh island which is a popular filming location. Madh Fort situated on the island, also known as Versova Fort, is a structure that was built by the Portuguese to be primarily used as a watchtower. The Fort is now under defence purview.
