The largest national park in Madhya Pradesh with 940 sq. Km under it is considered to be one of the best-administered parks in Asia where the majestic royal Bengal tigers are found in good numbers and Bison roaming freely in their natural habitat. Kanha is situated in the central highlands of the Indian Tropical Zone. The lowland forest is comprised of Sal trees with supporting meadows. Highland forests comprised of tropical moist, dry deciduous forests and most interestingly having bamboo trees on their slopes. ‘Indian Ghost Tree’ can also be seen in the forest

The landscapes and the surrounding luxurious meadows along with the wooded strands and the dense maroons of forests offer magnanimous sightseeing experiences. Making the land more beautiful and adorable, the crystal clear streams amidst the dense jungle cleanses the surroundings and makes the wildlife unrivaled. The lush green forests of Kanha, composed majorly of Sal (Shorea Robusta) and other mixed forest trees, support the growth of rich and varied flora and fauna. Bamni Dadar offers a spectacular view of the setting sun and the dense forest of Kanha.
