Statue of Unity is the world's tallest statue measuring 182 m dedicated to the great Indian Statesman Sardar Vallabhbai Patel. Statue of Unity is the world's tallest statue measuring 182 m dedicated to the great Indian Statesman Sardar Vallabhbai Patel. It is located on a river island in Narmada and faces the Sardar Sarovar dam. It is located at a distance of 100 km from the cultural capital of Gujarat, the city of Vadodara. The statue was inaugurated on 31st October 2018, on the occasion of the 143rd anniversary of Sardar Patel. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding through the lift which rises within the statue to a height of about 400 ft. The location of the Statue is scenic will rolling terrain, water bodies, biodiversity etc. Various ancillary attractions like: Shreshtha Bharat Bhavan, Laser Shows, Research Centre, Hotel, Food Court, Valley of flowers, boating etc are planned. The tent city in the lines of Rann Utsav has also been created at the venue
