Shimla, referred to as the 'Queen of Hills' was named after the Goddess " Shyamala" (the Goddess Kali) and remained the Summer Capital of British India for quite long.The influence of British presence is glaringly evident in its victorian style  buildings. Presently it is the Capital of the State of Himachal Pradesh. Having an average altitude of 2,206 metres (7,238 ft) above mean sea level, It is situated in the western Himalayas and hold majestic charm and magic,  as for the reason, it is the first love of visitors and film makers. It is visited by tourists all the year around. There are many places to visit in and around Shimla as Advanced Studies, The Mall, Jakhu Hills, Taradevi Temple, Kufri, Naldehra, etc.
