Sadda Pind-Heritage village is located on the road to Attari, this recreation of a Punjabi village is one of the best places to experience the rich rural life and Culture of the State. 'Sadda Pind' means 'our village'. Just past the security checkpoint is a huge cot that a signboard declares as India's largest cot. Villagers traditionally use these cots (also known as a manji) to rest after a heavy meal in the afternoons. You can enter a farmer's house and taste makki ki roti and sarson ka saag, the winter staples of a Punjabi kitchen. You can also visit a weaver's house to see how phulkari embroidery is made and visit a wedding hall to witness a traditional Punjabi wedding. Folk dances and martial arts performances complete the ambience.
