Situated at a height of around 4400 meters (14,500 Ft), and nesteled between the mountains in a bowl shaped area, LANGZA is the most magnificient and beautiful village in the cold desert of Himachal Pradesh, particularly referred to as Spiti Valley. At a distance of around 15 Kilometers from Kaza, Langza is one of the highest villages with motorable road with mud thatched houses and ancient monasteries with a Statue of Lord Buddha overlooking the valley as a Guardian of the village people .. There are few High altitude lakes which are accessible on foot. A treat to the eyes, Langza, as believed by the villagers is house to all deities of the valley. The green pastures, snow-clad mountains and barren landscapes offer a lot for visiters who love to have an affair with solitude of Nature. (Pic Courtesy: Vishal Sarin and Ajay Baniyal)
